Classic Inn Motel, located at 4508 S General Bruce Dr, Temple, TX, offers travelers a modest yet dependable lodging option with a solid 3.5-star rating. Though small in scale—with just 12 rooms—this motel distinguishes itself with attentive, kind staff dedicated to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Guests frequently highlight the warm service and the management's flexibility, especially accommodating those with pets, which speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction.
The rooms reflect a simple, no-frills approach. Features include a spacious bathroom, window air conditioning and heating units, a small microwave and fridge, and an old-school CRT TV with cable. The accommodation is priced competitively, often attracting visitors looking for affordable, short-term stays. While some guests note that the décor and room amenities could be updated—for instance, more convenient electrical outlets and better bedside furniture—these details do not overshadow the overall value.
Parking is a known limitation, as the lot is narrow and can pose challenges during peak times. Additionally, the motel’s location is somewhat isolated from popular dining spots like McDonald's and IHOP, requiring a short drive for meals. However, for visitors focused on sightseeing and recreation in Temple, this quiet location provides a practical base without the hustle of city centers.
Free Wi-Fi and parking add convenient touches, though amenities such as a pool, on-site restaurant, or fitness center are notably absent. This keeps the motel straightforward and functional—a place to rest and regroup rather than linger. The balance between hospitality and economy here creates a sense of genuine care, making Classic Inn Motel a memorable, if humble, choice for travelers seeking a temporary home with a personal touch.

The only thing that sucks about this place is the fact of the small parking lot and the fact that it's about 1 mile south of McDonald's and IHOP and about 1.5 miles north of Valero and you gotta drive all the way down to do the you turn if you have to go back north. But the employees are amazing and they do good at keeping everything up and clean. I've been here almost 4 months now. Expensive but worth every penny!!
$45 cash for 1 queen bed (2018). They don't take plastic. Big bathroom. Regular sized bathtub. Window AC/heater. Small microwave. Small fridge. 1 nightstand. 2 wall lampshades. Hanging rack for clothes, no closet. Wall mirror. Old CRT TV. Cable was ok. There are only 12 rooms at this motel. Can't complain for the price. There could be better located outlets and a nightstand on each side of bed. The outlets were on each wall .. But in my case behind the bed.
Incredibly kind staff. The rooms could be cleaner but they always kept us stocked in clean sheets and towels. The bathroom is rather large. And if you're going through it this is an affordable, caring place to call home temporarily. The parking lot is thin so be careful. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place. And they're willing to work with you if you have a pet or 2. Very well run facility. Will be staying again in the future!
